So, Evolve recently went F2P, and in addition revamped the game mechanics to bring match times down from ~20 minutes to ~10 minutes. Alot of big changes, mechanically and graphically, really help make Evolve feel more modern, and less sluggish than before.
Only drawback is F2P is a safehaven for obnoxious kids. I keep getting bounced from lobby to lobby because either
1: Someone didn't like the role they got
2: Someone didn't like the monster
3: Someone didn't like that there was a newbie on the team [when, realistically, 99% of the new playerbase is newbies]
so my games keep getting disbanded in the lobby, or even right as the match starts [had 2 groups leave the game because "wraith is op"]
So, definitely worth the price tag of free, alot of fun time to be had while playing it. But personally, I recommend waiting until summer break is over, or play in the morning before the kiddos have woken up.
