I caught a Squirtle. 

I'm not sure what can be done in game yet.

Everybody and their mother are talking about it.

 

My friend be like, "Number of people I've seen post about Pokemon Go that probably haven't touched a Pokemon game in fifteen years: way the fuck too high." Probably right. He's an elitist about everything though.

 

I've heard people are having loads of fun with it. I, personally, have no interest. I stopped liking the Pokemon universe after the first generation (the 151 original). I collected the base set, played Red/Blue on the Gameboy and have not touched it since. Combine that with the fact I play 0 phone games. It's possible that could all change. Keep us posted on how much you like it.

Koala and I played Niantic's other game and there were a few areas we didn't get out of the truck.

 

I just evolved a pidgy into a pidgeotto, it has begun.

I have android, but I'm not seeing it for it right now here in the UK. I keep seeing stuff about downloading a file on my computer then transferring it to my Xperia, but effort.

Already got an egg and a level 152 hypno, neat.

I'm about half way to level 9.

Went out to try and take some gyms today. It didn't go so well. I'd beat something in the 2-300 range, only for something in the 6-800 range to pop up next.

Also, got hustled by an old indian guy which was kinda awesome. His name was Salmon.

Halfway through level 5, got a level 340 hypno that got it's ass stomped by a jynx at a gym (it was half hypno's level and attacked 6 times in a row while I couldn't fight at all, woohoo.)

 

caught a bunch more pokemon and hit a few poke centers in my city.

I've had the game freeze at gyms a couple of times. Normally I'll get through the first opponent and about mid way through the second it locks up. Really frustrating and makes it hard to take anything.

 

I spent far too much time the last few days driving around and leveling up. This is my current top list of pokemon.

I got an egg. I saw a Sandshrew, but it was in somebody's garden and I'm not sure I want to waste incense on that.

 

Edit: Went to the bathroom, caught an Abra.

Incense spawn new pokemon. If you already see it in your list, just walk around until it spawns and tap on it.

I tried tapping it, but nothing happened. I assumed it was out of my catchable range, or whatever.

 

So incense straight up spawns new ones and doesn't require me to be near existing ones? That's neat. Apparently common pokes in my area include Beedrill so that could be fun >>

Bit reluctant to download this on android here in the UK. Seeing articles about people being subject to hackers accessing things. Not sure.
Might just wait until Nintendo just release it here officially.

sometimes I have to press them a few times before it registers, if they're close enough to show up on your screen you can catch them though.
