I got this game for PS4 and it has been a blast (no worries, i think Overwatch looks cool too), but it is way better if you can play it with people who you know, so if anyone has this game and is interested let me know.

My friend wanted me to buy it. I haven't yet. It looks neat, but meh. I have a couple of games that already fit its niche.

My brother picked it up. I'm not too interested in it, sadly.

I wanted to like Battleborn. I played the closed and open beta, and gave a fair amount of feedback. But nowadays beta's are just hyped demos, they didn't take any of the criticism to heart, and after seeing Gearbox strap a F2P leveling system onto a full, $60 game...

Yeah, no thank you.

Game starts you off with a pitiful amount of characters. Expects you to grind the game to unlock, yknow, the basics. The PvP AND the campaign both managed to be unbalanced messes: PvP rewarding whoever has the most time to grind for rewards, and campaign playing alot like an on-rails borderlands knockoff. In addition to the lackluster release, their promises for future content is kinda dashed by their announcement of Borderlands 3, which means a majority of Gearbox is/has been working on that title, and the content for Battleborn will be a slow trickle [they've said they won't start borderlands 3 until BB's production cycle is "complete", but leaked art assets show that they've already started working on it]

At the end of the day, it honestly feels like they were working on a F2P game to compete with League. But it feels like either Gearbox or their publisher didn't have too much confidence in the project. Everything feels like a first-draft, there's no polish on the character models, the maps are flat and boring, the menus are godawful to look at. They probably got pressured by their publishers to release the game at a full $60 price tag, but kept in the F2P mechanics because that was at the core of the game's longevity.

Wow, lot of criticism, but I can't really disagree with it. Still, I have had a lot of fun, so if anyone picks it up, I'm up for playing most days
