I know it sounds ridiculous, hear me out on this though. Professional golfers are normally overweight, old, or out of shape, and their caddies carry the equipment for them. There is no running, jumping, or cardiovascular activity in golf. If an activity does not make you break a sweat, or if it can be done while drinking and smoking, then it is not a sport, right?

Golf is a game. DotA is a game played professionally in e-Sports. It's not considered a sport, but a competition.

 

Rooting for a golfer or video game player is no different than visiting the local recreational room and cheering for let's say... a bingo player.

I love me some e-Sports, because it invokes the nerd within me and I like seeing my favorite heroes dominate.

 

I'd rather watch bingo than golf, for these reasons

 

1) it's hot outside and being the one that has to walk and follow players is dumb.

2) golf is boring anyways.

3) golf claps are for sarcastic responses, not actual applauding. We stole your clap fair and square. Assholes.

4) the clothes they wear are fuckin' stupid.

Though the physical exertion may be few and far between, there isn't really any wiggle room when golf falls snugly in to the definition of a sport.

I always thought sports were defined as a cardiovascular activity to compete for people's enjoyment. Urban Dictionary says this:
