Moving to a new location soon.
May not sound like a topic of happiness, esp. considering the place is considerably smaller, but, I have more options for work (A lot of places are within walking distance), there's a cafe near me that has Open Mic Nights (I'm probably being over-optimistic, but I'm hoping that if I can develop a comedy routine (Already have a few ideas for jokes) and maaaaybe get noticed), and I'm closer to friends and family.

Sometimes the act of moving alone is enough to get excited over.
New area, new space, new people.
And I say go for the stand up thing.
No famous comedians got that way by doing nothing about being funny.

I am playing Dungeons & Dragons for the first time on Sunday.
My buddy works with a bunch of dudes that are organising a probably weekly game.
Never met any of them, never played the game, should be a nightmare in which I get to roll dice and make believe I am a wizard.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

My son is playing L4D2 on my computer and someone playing Zoey is apparently team killing everyone. My daughter is watching and keeps running in here to give me the play by play. At one point she came in in a huff and said, "Now she's teabagging his corpse!"

I advocate them getting paid for it when they are old enough to make a living doing it.
Kids don't get paid to play tee ball, but those early attained skills could help them go pro in the future and make millions.
