Today I asked to just power through my lunch to catch up on some certs I was way behind on before the end of the month crept up on me.

My coworker Jim bought me chips and salsa and my coworker Bernie bought me a taco to fuel me through it.

And even though I was still there, my coworker Kim took over the phones for me so I wouldn't be interrupted.

I really, really, really love my place of work.

I have a good job that will only get better the longer I stay with it, two kids that are only assholes some of the time, a nice house quiet house with a lovely forest behind it and pretty flowers all in front (except my dead hyacinths, damn you weather), pink classy as fuck champagne that I'm drinking while watching Deadpool for the first time on my pretty af computer in my bomb af room.

And after that Ima romance the shit outta myself with the freakiest most degenerate porn I can find.

I am pretty happy. Things are going to be okay.

 

I have a pretty degenerate family but I don't really concern myself with them. Because their problems are their own. If they need help and I can give it - hey, great!

 

My dad disowned my sister last year because she called the cops on him. She's doing just fine. I help her out and buy/lend stuff when I can. She has a musician boyfriend who plays smalls gigs like café's and shit. He apparently lived across Europe a few years and recently got back from Singapore. He also apparently adopted some bullshit Persian religion that gives him $700/month and he uses that for his traveling. He's a poopyhead who is allergic to cats also. But she's happy with him and I'm willing to let the cat thing go, because I GUESS people can't control that sort of thing. Still a poopyhead. The rest is her business. Cats are always my business.

 

Brother got thrown out (finally) by his poopyhead girlfriend because he's a shithead who was mean, a cheater, undependable and lots of other things. It took 10 years and 4 kids to happen but hey, Rome wasn't built in a day or some crap. I gave him some extra furniture I had laying around. Did my part.

 

My biological mom, who I only know from seeing a Facebook picture and choose not to have a relationship with is back at being her usually dopey, broke methhead self. She's been creeping around grandmas place and trying to take advantage of her state-of-dementia. Running off with things she can pawn. Aunt & uncle put up some cameras and took precautions. We're not going to stop a mom from seeing her daughter, but hey, if we have to babysit the visits I guess that'll do.

 

Girlfriend is having some personal issues with her family but I think my influence is not letting it get her down so much.

 

Work still sucks. But you know, it's mostly my own attitude. It's more of less one of those "I'm tired of cleaning up after 1st shift." -  "Tired of carrying this department. Damn back hurts." And other coworkers are so crabby. There are a handful of super fun people who are usually not moody but then there's a handful of bad eggs that are just UGH. One of these days I'm going to gather up a huge box of my gf's 700 pairs of shoes, bring it into work and when people are being poopheads I'm going to just start chucking them at their heads. Bringing me down, holmes. I just want to work and go home!

 

But you know, I've learned to relax over the years. Everyone has problems. Deal with what's directly in front of you and don't let other peoples shit bother you so much. So yeah, I'm pretty happy. I got my truck, my games, my cats, my personal time where I can just nerd out and be me. And now I think I'll take a page out of Tes' book and find some porn.

 

Because boobs make everyone happy.

Board of Director's meeting is today.

Two older gentlemen came in just now, one stopped to talk to our CEO while the second went on ahead.

Second is still talking to the first when the first turns around and says "I left you. You're just talking to yourself now, stop it." while the little older man continues on his merry way chatting up a storm to no one in particular.

Goddamn I love tiny old men.

Just found out Memorial Day will be my first paid vacation day, EVER!

I was already trying to make up the hours in my head and figure out how to persuade my boss to let me work through my lunches to make up the lost time.

We have this teeny tiny little excitable Hispanic gentleman named Hisidro.
He's the one that does 90% of the interviewing for the back positions in the factory.

A young kid came in at around 10:10 or so and was just taken back now.

I was like "Damn, man, you're always fashionably late."
He started laughing and he asked me if he had safety glasses.
I said "Safety glasses? You were gone so long, I built him a bunker."

I went to go laugh about it with Bernie and she just giggled and said "He took so long, the kid already got another job at a different facility."
And I told her "And he's retired now."
