I guess once you are over 25 you don't mind looking younger.

Russians just said Hillary Clinton would be the last U.S. President if elected. I guess that means I should vote for Stein or Johnson, which I am happy to do.

All Russians said that.

Very important you discern between politicians and people with these things. Not all Americans are myopic, corrupt cunts, for example. The politicians however....eh, p sure even Bernal Sandles bought himself a nice five bedroom cabin in Vermont with the proceeds of his campaign after he lost or some shit.

This is the first month I've been ahead and was able to pay all my bills on time or before they were due.

I was able to get my kids to a physician here (FINALLY), and once they receive all of their medical history from their previous hospital, I can get them caught up on their vaccinations.

Yesterday I finally got to go to lunch with a coworker, and it was pretty much my favorite person that I work with to boot!
It was awesome and I tried not to make too many smacky noises while I was eating even though the sammich was delicious. >.>

My daughter had her conference last night and her teacher is amazing, and her music teacher is super sweet, and her art teacher is just awesome, and she got just a glowing review. Her teacher couldn't say enough good things about her, I was so proud!
And they have a 3D printer and a whole new library/learning center with new computers, it's amazing!
She's going to have the best 5th grade ever, I'm thrilled.

Plus, I made a new friend at work, and he's awesome too!

I'm very optimistic and contented right now. :)

Dear Diary,

I'm an odd duck sometimes. Growing up I was actually scared of responsibility. I dropped out of school at 15, I blamed it on certain circumstances. I don't regret it one bit. The amount of Me time was phenomenal. I learned more things during my later teens browsing the web and MSN/Yahoo chatrooms than I ever did in my time in school. I encouraged myself to read more, to learn more on my own. Explore the world any way I can. I have done very little travel and barely leave my own city, but hey, that shit costs money!

I didn't allow myself to be encouraged by my vigilante friends, I didn't give into peer pressure and was very comfortable saying 'no' to things I simply didn't want to do. I was bull-headed, short-tempered, silly & stupid. I didn't get my license until I was 19, because I was too nervous to take on that responsibility. I didn't move out of the nest until I was 25 because I wasn't ready. And...I was lazy. I held odd jobs since I was 14, but I had a tendency to quit them and stay unemployed for a few months at a time. I straightened myself out and learned as long as you get your 40 in, things will stay kosher. They have.

Growing up I didn't have a mom. Someone to teach me to be respectful. To brush my teeth and go back to school. I had a dad who never hugged me, said I love you, but he'd take a bullet for me. He would tackle a full grown bear to the ground if I was in danger of being mauled to death. He does love me. He would take me out fishing, hunting or to the movies if I wanted it. That's all I needed. He's a mountain man who grew up hating his own father. He was never really great at family stuff, but he was there. That's always important. Even though he disowned my sister I still love the sonuvabitch. If it ever came down to it one day where it was him or her, well then sorry pops. Sister needs someone to tackle bears for her.

All things considered. I didn't have a bad childhood. I didn't get into any trouble. I admit, I wasn't very smart at times...but I learned from it (heh mostly). I got wiser. Stronger. And it's just great to be able to reflect back on everything in life -- laugh, cry, or just plain forgive & forget. I wouldn't change a thing. The best thing I can say about all this is...well, I'm not perfect. Far from it. I have urges that I cave into every now and then, not life-threatening by any means lol but you get idea. I like who I am, and any insecurities I have about myself are pretty much shared by every human being on planet Earth. It's all part of growing up. Ready for everything but taking one slice at a time. Basically Diary, I'm trying to tell you that I'm doing alright God damnit. I can sound dramatic at times but I'm sarcastic by nature, it's my everything mechanism. So if you're reading this Life, just know if you throw any shit my way...that I got a shovel, dawg. And I'll make it rain.

...not sure that last part really works but fuck it I'M GOING WITH IT.

- Adam, 11/7/2016 up past bedtime (again).

I'm being made a moderator of a tiny subreddit (literally 100 people subbed).

I don't know why, but it chuffs me a little.

I'm teaching myself to skateboard and I'm at a point now where I can comfortably balance and push myself along. Taking respite in small mercies because everything else is going to shit. ;P

Well the thing that makes me smile when I'm down is the little lizard living on the outside of my bedroom window. It's not a pet or anything. It's just some tiny lizard that likes to occasionally crawl across my window and sit in the sun. :D <3

I hope you're having a nice day. :)

Have you named him yet?

I can't remember if I named him Jeremy or Frank. Pretty sure it was Jeremy. Usually as soon as I see the little guy my entire brain just goes "!!!<3LIZARD<3!!!"

I should actually call him 'Harry' so I can say "YER A LIZARD HARRY".

I hope you're having a nice day. :)
