Fun fact, the first usage of "the Bees Knees" comes from the 1800's and it's meaning was "something very small and insignificant."
The meaning we use now was coined in the 20's around the same time "The Cat's Pajamas" came around.

Though I hold the firm belief that knees, regardless of size or species of origin, are very significant.
