I was out to dinner last night and a couple walked in.
They originally sat across from one another, then the guy said something to her and she agreed and he sat next to her int he booth instead.

I never even thought to do this, it seems odd to me.
When I am out with someone I want to be able to look at them and converse and not be delegated to side sitting all night.

I will say though, when it's us and at least one other person, I do believe I did prefer to sit next to them.
However, to me at least, it looks off when it's just two people on one side of the table.

It's an event you plan with someone at a predisclosed location where you attempt to schmooze them to achieve the goal of them allowing you to use parts of their body as a masturbatory device.

Dates are pretty old school.

 

In a rigorous attempt by the males species to bypass the necessities of dating and getting to know a partner of the opposite sex through conversation, gesture, and tipping the waiter one simply resorts to

 

"netflix and chill"

I remember buying that on release day...at K-Mart. Ah, the memories. It was the censored version because K-Mart didn't sell parental advisory CD's. Lol. I was 14 and did not know this so imagine my disappointment. There are very few K-Mart's around these days but their ways may have changed. The disc itself is two shades of pink and you had to stick your tongue through the middle and it resembled a NAKED BOOBIE!

 

Then I discovered .mp3 and one bad investment was pretty OK.

I always sit across from my wife, who is the only person I ever did/do dinner dates with.

I like to face the person I'm talking to, and I am pretty solidly build and tend not to fit at most tables comfortably when someone is sitting right beside me.
