I went to Barnes N Nobles not to long ago and I saw different Spider-Man comics. They all looked rather interesting, however I'm not sure where to begin. I know of the older comics. I want to start collecting them soon. Checked on ebay and on amazon and some of them are pricey, but I'm willing to spend money. For now though I want to know where should I start off with? What Spider-Man comic should I buy first? Is it available in book stores or do I have to order it from a special site. When you recommend me something, please let me know on where I can find it. I seen other comics in the store that was not by Stan Lee and they look interesting. Are they worth checking out too or should I avoid them? Sorry for all the questions. Just not sure on where to start. I've been asking around for a week now on different Forums and nobody seems to help me out. I'll appreciate it so much if you can help me out with this. I really need to start reading comics soon!

Note: If there's no Good Spider-Man comics worth checking out than please recommend me a good Horror or other type of Graphic Novel. I have a open mind when it comes to Comics and Graphic Novels. Thank you. :D I'd also be up for reading manga as well.

Before anyone tells you anything, read the Ultimate Spiderman comics. They're great. I fucking despise Miles Morales so having a Peter Parker spiderman comic is nice. It ended a while back. but it still holds up today. I can't read the comics from the 60s because I can't stand the art style so this is my goto spiderman comic.

I recommend either collecting the Spider-Man Epic Collection or subscribing to the Marvel app. If you do want to collect old floppies, you should head out to a flea market. There's one in PA called Roots. I don't know what's in your area, but generally you can get a stack of comics for a dollar. Unfortunately you can'y0t always find what you want.

Someone already suggested reading Ultimate Spider-Man, and I agree. I'd also suggest reading the original runs in the 60s to any Spidey fan. Also check out the J. Michael Straczynski run. One of the best until he was forced to write the worst Spider-Man comic of all time.
