What the hell got into that woodpecker. They dont normally just massacre the fucking tree

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Maybe the core of the tree has an infestation it can hear and it's trying to get to the bugs?

That or maybe the tree made an uncouth comment about the woodpeckers mother.

Maybe the home owner pissed him off.

Maybe but unlikely, I know crows can remember a persons face and can pass that knowledge on but I don't know if woodpeckers are that intelligent.

Great.
Now I have to be weary of pissing off crows And woodpeckers lest I incur the wrath.

Well, could be worse, could be parrots.

From the original thread, there's apparently a pine beetle that infests trees and is most likely what he's after.

Seems like a lot of work to get a little bit of grub.

I'v had one in the tree in my backyard before. Bastard was putting small holes all up and down the tree. Near as I could tell he was testing it to see if it would make a nice home. The bluejays ran him off. Mean little fuckers bluejays are.

Man the bluejays in my neighborhood chase off crowes. We also had a hawk living nearby. Had.

What you guys need is an owl. I find they're pretty good at removing most other types of birds. >.>

I did nothing.

Bluejays started hanging around and the hawk disappeared.

All I can think of is that one scene from The Fox and the Hound with the woodpecker:
