Finally going to suck it up and get my season toon.

Just started up D3 for the first time. I'd forgot how much mindless fun hack 'n slash can be. I have fond memories of playing D2 at 3 AM while movies like Mallrats playing in the background. SO MANY NIGHTMARE MEPHISTO RUNS! I miss D2. I was that jerk that crashed everyone's computer with my Necro having an inventory full of summon charms and producing 40 revives, 80 skeletons. COW LEVEL EZ. I found my first legendary on D3 (a ring) and was sad that it was not an SOJ. SWEET NOSTALGIA.

 

This game has a lot going on for it. Excited to level and learn. I'm playing a Wizard main and am currently level 14.

 

I miss my Werebear though...

Having a lot of fun. Wizard is 51 now with more legendaries. I found a Thunderfury lol. Made me laugh, had no idea. My Templar is sporting it like a boss. That's the thing about hack 'n slash, it's great as mindless fun. But not something you can play day in and out. It's also very easy to get back into them. Ever play Torchlight? That's a fantastic one too.

Update:

 

Wizard is 70, paragon 45 and has T2 fully on farm. Honestly have not tried T3, but will soon enough. Still working out what direction/sets to go/get/etc.

Crusader is 70, just turned it this morning. Burned through all Act 1 on Expert, then was able to go Master the rest of the way. Almost full 70 legendary already from Str drops on Wizard and craftables. Going to be a beast tankadin. Probably be farming T1000 (s) some day. If you know what I mean.

 

I'm probably sticking to these two classes. I like Crusader a lot. Something about popping my law for crit bonus and slamming a group of enemies with bombardment and getting a massive single blow is sexy. Not going to lie, I would have quit her already if I was not able to main-hand wield two-handers with my shield. That's hot.

 

This morning I nearly peed myself as I stumbled upon a Gem Goblin, chased it to a corner and WTF a Blood Goblin pops up right there! Massive lol moment as they both got cornered in the same spot and I culled them down. On top of that, I was wearing Broken Crown (extra gem per socketed one)...I should have screen-shotted. It was pretty.

Nice! Are you playing Seasonal or non seasonal? If you're in Seasonal I could help you farm sometime. I have 2 very geared characters there right now.

No. I was wondering what that is. I read that it is a way to get special loot and it contributes to your paragon score. Is your toon permanent though? Fill me in. I see a lot of people with the green leaf next to their name but never really read up on it.

I'd rather hear it from you.

Basically seasonal is just a temporary league that lasts for a few months. It's all about gearing up as fast as you can and trying to get ranked on the leader boards. Once the season is over all your items and characters get transferred over to the non seasonal league along with your paragon levels. Also the new seasons typically have legionaries that you can only get in that season, other than that the seasons are pretty much exactly like every day non seasonal stuff.

 

If you'd like to try the season I'd be more than happy to powerlevel you and help you gear up.

When is the current season ending? I'll take you up on that. What times you typical play? I'm a third shifter so I play real early until 10 a.m. or on the weekends after midnight. I been getting on before work too.

My current Crusader build is solid. Took T3 by storm and wrecked faces. I tried my first greater rift. I managed to free the boss and get him to 50% before the timer ran out. But I've made changes since then so I might be okay to get the bonus next time I go in. A legendary gem which is cool. Trying again in the morning. Got another key.

I think I'll go Witch Doctor for seasonal. I'll get you added on b.net later this morning when I'm home.
