My new work out routine requires a 15 second plank, it's more like 15 seconds of hell, I need stronger ab muscles, ha.

I feel your pain! I was doing 100 crunches a night, but found out how bad they are for your back, and discovered planks. It's really easy to alternate a min of plank and a min of a yoga posture that stretches out my lower back.

Here's a nifty little slice of hell for ya:

Set the timer on your smart phone for ten minutes.

The routine to follow is 30 seconds of planks/30 seconds of a yoga stretch, your choice.
(I switched between child's pose, cat and downward facing dog).

Tap the start button and just don't think about it.
