My little sister has been trying to convince me for a couple months that I should try watching this show. I was skeptical at first, because to me it looked akin to chowder. After finally watching the first few episodes(and then subsequently binging all that is available of it) I have found it to be an odd mix of goofy, and deep.

 

The episodes are short, only 12 minutes or so long, but they manage to put a lot in these short sessions. And the songs! short and catchy, and in a couple cases extremely emotionally charged. Anyhow, I am not generally one to write reviews, and am often highly critical when I do. I would highly recommend that anyone who has a little time give this show a chance.

For me I would say that varies between episodes in regards to pearl. She definitely was my least favorite early on, but as I understand more about her I can't help but like her more. Especially the way of the sword episode illuminated a few things for me that helped me to like her.

Yeah the kids have tried telling me the same thing.


I haven't seen every episode, so maybe if I did I would get it.


I live when they have shows that surprise me like Adventure Time and Steven Universe.

I'm glad they're not all like Clarence and Uncle Grandpa.

Ah, you really should watch them all if you get the chance. If for no other reason than the songs. Garnet's song and the way of the sword song are my 2 favorites so far.

Oh also I skipped the april fools episode. It was a crossover episode with uncle grandpa.

I've only seen a couple episodes. My son watched and at first I was like NO! Haha but it's ok

I just caught up on rvb and got the second even gers movie. After that Steven.

Yeah I heard they were found a crossover, how terrible.

I will be skipping that as well.

Oh my god, he would not shut the fuck up about it for months.


I finally caught up after we'd stopped talking for a while because I wasn't being hounded over it anymore.


It was worth it, it gets great.

I've been meaning to watch this, but I always keep putting it off.

From what I understand, it's pretty much CN's Gravity Falls (In that it's currently the best show on the network)

I heard it was good. And I love the voice actor of the one little girl, she does Louise on Bob's Burgers.

I love Kristen Schaal too!

And I think you'd like Gravity Falls: It's got a mix of creepiness and humor to it, and it's got a pretty good voice cast as well. JK Simmons, the guy who plays J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man movies, the asshole teacher in Whiplash, and was the voice of Cave Johnson in Portal 2 joins the cast in Season 2.
