So, for some unknown reason, I'm tempted to make a cigar box guitar. I might not because I'm not really handy at all, but I thought I'd post to get advice.

They have a fairly specific sound that they're associated with, but I don't see any reason why you couldn't put hot pickups on it and use it like any hollow body electric...

They don't look terribly hard to make a simple one. I say go for it and post results.

Worst case scenario, you completely fuck it up and have learned one way not to make a cigar box guitar.
