SG-1 was my jam back in the day when I stayed home from school for whatever reason.

There was always a marathon on somewhere out in TV land.

Universe would have been a much better show if they kept things focused more and didn't dink around so much with stuff that didn't matter.

It was still a half decent watch, and most definitely a far cry from all other Stargate shows.

Oh right, I forgot The Mighty Boosh.

Super strange show, but eerily hilarious.

When I watched Universe I'd just come from watching the Atlantis series again, and was too used to the pre-Universe Stargate universe. So I watched it with SG-1/Atlantis in the back of my mind, and not so impartially judged and hated it.

But I also thought the actors were shit. Maybe I wasn't prepared to accept Stargate without any of the original actors.

SG-1 is so humble compared.

Oh right, I forgot The Mighty Boosh.

Win!

Garth Marenghi's Darkplace is a crazy show if you like crazy. It also stars Moss from IT Crowd, which, naturally, is my favourite TV series of all time. Game of Thrones step aside!

Black Books is another good British comedy. Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey are nutters! (in a good way)

Bill Bailey is excellent, I met him when he toured down under last year, also set up his instruments, did his sound check etc.

I do love a bit of Darkplace. You know they have Snuffbox on Netflix now?

Z Nation is so damn cheesy it comes all the way back around to serious, which makes it an interesting watch.

I twitch a little every time they say zee instead of zed though.

that is a really good way to decribe it.   The first episode had be debating on whether or not to stop watching, or accept the fact that i love trash tv.  I've called it a "parody to walking dead, except with a completely different story...well as different as you can get with zombie apocalypse stories."

So far one of my favorite parts is when Doc is trapped with a Z in the air shaft.

Is it a Canadian show?  My friends and I always assume if it's good, it's probably Canadian.

I had the same dilemma when I was watching the first episode, but toughed through it and ended up enjoying the rest of season one.

The air shaft bit was pretty hilarious, and Doc is just over the top enough to make it work.

I don't think it is Canadian.

Everyone in it is American, and the say zee every chance they get.
