Has anyone played Hotline Miami?

Anyone looking forward to Hotline Miami 2?

Wellll if you don't live in Aus then you're fine to get it through Steam, but unfortunately for me and anyone else on this continent we most likely won't be able to.

We have an R18+ games classification, but that was only brought in January 2013. The Aus classification board still refuse to use it and just deny classification. It usually results in censored versions being released under MA15+ classification.

Here's the opening scene with, then without alluding to sexual violence.

And they wonder why Australians pirate so much.

Is it still piracy if the devs gave me permission?

The first one was a wonderfully fucked up twitch fest. I look forward to the second.

Heard it was good, haven't played it yet.

I've been a fan of the first since it came out, even one of the people who helped make a speedrun genre for it

That being said, I'm not sure how I feel about the second. It could be like the first, but with extra features, but that only really merits DLC not a second release. Or, it could be its own game, new mechanics gameplay etc, which is nice but there's not much room to play with in the game's formula [at least from how I'm looking at it]

TBH either way I'm probably gonna be disappointed, but I can hope

I'll play the game either way after released (in Aus or not).

Guessing it can really only be the same kinda gameplay as the original, but still pretty keen for it. Even just for the (extra) brutal content.

You could probably trade for a copy on Steam with someone outside of Australia. I have a German friend who does that to circumvent the censoring there.

Nice idea and if it works then probably the way to go. Cheers

Seems to work for him, at least. I know Wolfenstein got censored in Germany so he traded for a US copy. Same for L4D, so I imagine it works that way for any game.
