[Mister Sympa]

Oh, my god, I've been online since I was 11.

 

That's 17 years now.

Spleen, that is pretty cool. Personally I imagined it as a spell, like a wizard pointing at someone and yelling "Spleen, begone!"

I think everyone on the entire net will know me as either Golgotha-

Nope. Unfortunately, since I didn't know what "Gol" meant, I'm stuck with the image of gollum-cat.

Does anyone else want to share how they came up with their display name? I'm curious now.

Gol comes from Golgotha which is a location in Fallout 2, which of course comes from the alt. name for Calvary. I just thought it was a cool word and kept it as a name for a Fallout pbp RPG site I used to go on. After a few years I joined one or two other sites and the name just stuck.

Fun fact, I actually started out with Elf since she's the person I know best here.

That's such a bloody brilliant story actually. I think I've only been Golgotha for four to five years. I've been STM for six though. >.>

 

I love when people have a meaning behind their username, especially if it's one they've kept for such a long time, it kinda becomes your alias or alter ego, or even a part of your actual person.

Yeah, I've literally been SpleenBeGone my entire internet life. I try to keep it a relatively untarnished name. >.>

 

Haha, Spleen good story, I always thought of your name as some sort of product to take away spleens. 

 

I agree Gol, only I've always switched handles after a year or two, I have too many names to keep track of now, when I happen to catch up with an old friend I have to try to remember who they would have known me as so they can remember who I was.

I was a different name online FOREVER before I came here. I invented Mister Sympa exclusively for this form, and now I'm using it everywhere else.

Those two people I missed. Willie, I didn't find out in the end whether he does or doesn't have wings, so I drew him without. If anything, I can still add them on later.

Amazing.  His standard form only has wings when he unleashes a super attack of furious holy smite (the kind where his eyes would go all white light and crackling with energy.)  He is anime-style after all.

 

I got my nickname at an academic summer thing (not quite a camp) in high school.  I didn't learn for like a year that it was from Will Smith.  Kind of missed his music career due to my young age.
