I installed an accounting server, a file share server, and set it up across a few workstations.

Part of the reason why I recently left a forum I'd been a member for a few years at was because of what a Nazi the Admin had become. If you didn't post a certain way that he deemed "constructive", you'd get bitched out. A topic was posted he didn't think would have enough discussion? Deleted, bitched out. 

 

However, the final straw for me was a topic made over GTA getting banned in Australia. It really should've been titled "We Hate Women" because of what people started saying. I was one of the few lady posters at that place, but never really felt alienated until that happened. 

 

This place is so chill and all of you are so nice and interesting. I've been spending time reading past topics to try and get to "know" everyone here.

I much prefer the more relaxed forums. There's no need for everything to be so strict.

The funny thing is he can't figure out why people don't want to join and the numbers keep getting smaller and smaller. Ever think it might be you, buddy? LOL. 

 

Heh. Just goes to prove I'll fit in fine; those things don't bother me at all. I made a lot of people uncomfortable on that other forum xD Didn't help that I have a real mean sense of humor as well; people were not happy when I mentioned the Tard Blog.

First off, back story as to why I found out about this: On Reddit of all places something ended up making me talk about my uncle's job as a Para. See, he went into it thinking he'd be dealing with kids that just have small issues in the classroom. Like, they can be in a regular class setting, but need an aide to help them stay focused and get the most out of their lesson.

 

Instead, he's put with severely mentally or emotionally unstable kids that are downright dangerous and have their own special classrooms. He's been hit in the face so hard his glasses broke and one kid went off the handle so bad he destroyed a classroom and was suspended. The classroom destroyer is so bad that his mother has no teeth because of all the times he's headbutted her. 

 

Someone linked me to a very bluntly written blog that was supposedly created by a special ed teacher and I think two others after she quit (people will still debate the authenticity if you bring it up). This blog tends to either offend people or make some nod in agreement because they can understand needing to vent after a hard day of keeping your cool and dealing with these kids.

Interesting. I was a direct support professional for a while (got fired for shit that was NOT MY FAULT), and I've been around people with various disabilities for my entire life.

 

I've never disliked those I worked with as clients. Only asshole coworkers.

^ It's not that my uncle hates these kids or anything, but it's just really scary when he keeps getting the ones who are nonverbal and you never know what's going to send them off the deep end and become destructive. I want him to get a new job so bad because one of his arms has a cadaver bone because he had bone cancer. That bone is super fragile, and basically there just to barely keep his arm on (he can barely use it), so one good hit and it's gone.
