Well hi

So here goes more public flail.
I'm a socially awkward dweeb who often dislikes people on sight, however I do like lots of them after getting to know them. I love drawing and writing, have a lack of motivation, and curse like a tavern wench (although if that causes discomfort I will avoid black words).
Medieval stuff really gets me, SnK tickles my doujin nerves (as a friend of mine would say), and I enjoy Sword of Shannara more than Lord of the Rings.
Other than that, I guess you can just get to know me as we go.
Nice to meet you all.

Hey! Welcome!
I joined for the same reason, haha. I spent a lot of time on forums in junior high and I missed it. I've been here over 2 years now I think... scary. I've been feeling the same way about roleplaying but I just can't get back into that for some reason.
I hope you stick around and post a bit. I'm sure you'll fit in fine here.
I could never get into Lord of the Rings, but I enjoyed the first book of Sword of Shannara when someone recommended it to me. I read a lot of big fantasy books, one of my favourite authors is Brent Weeks, and I have the whole Mistborn set that someone gave me, but I haven't read them yet. What other books do you read?

I hope to fit in well soon (said the person with a feigned royal title), so I'll be hanging around some for sure.
I'm normally not one to pick up really thick books on first sight, but when I saw the trilogy on my old school's shelf, all worn and lonely, I had to ask whether I could read it. Have you read the others yet? I felt like they didn't do the first one justice.
Funny, I don't think I've ever read any Brent Weeks or Mistborn, but I enjoyed The Horse from the Sea (I used to be a huuuuge horse person), Winter Queen, the Young Royals series, a Series of Unfortunate Events, The Moorchild, The Goose Girl, Seven Tears into the Sea, the list goes on and on. Most of it was possible only because my school would fund students buying books, so since I've been out -pret near three years- I've had a shortage of new material to read. Good online books are hard to find for free, so I've resorted to finecombing through the fanfiction part of the net for interesting reads. I swear some of the fanfic writers I've read should write their own novels sometime - there are some fucking awesome writers in there that aren't getting as much recognition as their work deserves.
Thank you for the warm welcome, I guess I've made my first friend here~

Aside from the SnK part, you sound like a (probably) male version of me. Disturbing. Hi.
