Wait you could use activate the games on Steam with your CD key?

I bought them again for nothing.... D:

Play some point-and-click adventure games.  They have a rich history and ones exist for pretty much any genre you could think of.

As for non-Steam ones, I couldn't recommend The Chzo Mythos any stronger.  It's free to download and play, completely and utterly.  The guy behind Zero Punctuation made the four games that comprise it.  He manages survival horror in a 8-bit point-and-click adventure game.

No, Steam produces "Steam keys" for digital gifting, usually through Humble Bundle.

Wait, who gets games on PC-CD anymore?  Didn't that disappear in like 2004?

Most of the games I'd want aren't on Steam anyway...  I'm talkin' 'bout you, Thinkin' Things!

I want some Fripples!

Oh, and Deer Avenger 4. That game was the shit!

I got Rocksmith on PC-CD because I needed to purchase the cable anyway and it was actually cheaper to just get everything. So it does happen!

Steam has the 'Activate a Product on Steam' feature. It's in the Games menu, can't miss it.

It won't work for every game, but as I said, I used the product keys for DAW 1 and DAW: Soulstorm to add them to my Steam account (from Steam, no disc required).

Might be worth trying the keys for any games you have on CD/DVD before going ahead with a purchase. But yeah, doesn't work for Dark Crusade or Winter Assault, and my Age of Empires keys don't work either.

My current most played game on steam is Path of Exile which has a total of 338 hours on it, but thats only the counting the hours that Steam has logged. I played it for at least a good 80 hours back when it was in beta and before it was on Steam.

I keep forgetting about PoE. Played about 100 hours of it.
Enjoyed it a lot more than Diablo.

/some/ games you can redeem keys for, alot of older titles you can't

You can enter the key entry prompt by hitting Add a Game > Activate a product on Steam

So happy I'm not alone on that one.

D3 and StarCraft 2 are decent, well, StartCraft, but I feel that Blizzard are old news. Since Valve got DOTA rights, and Blizzard had to change things a little, it's kinda like they're being pushed out by all the new dev companies, Steam, etc.

I'll definitely give Heroes of the Storm a run though, no sure about Overwatch.

I'd really like to play HotS. Sadly Blizzard don't deem it necessary to send me a beta key :(

I get the CDs for all my games, because it looks cool. :P Nothing is better than having (Almost) the whole Sims 3, 2, and 1 scattered around your house. The only problem is they get lost easily. :(
