So I perform stand up comedy and I'm trying to make it to the top. I've been doing it for a long time now and I've gotten fairly successful. I started when I was 12. Now I have just been going to night clubs and comedy clubs. I mainly do observational and blue comedy with physical and cringe humor as well.

Come check me out in Philadelphia at Helium Comedy Club on January 2 and 3 and Philly Improv Theater January 14 and 15.

Oh, and one other thing I forgot to mention, I'm scheduled to be on The Tonight Show as soon as I turn 18 since I was on America's Got Talent. I'll be on tour next summer so more updates on that will come.

Any other nerdy comics out there or at least thinking about becoming a comic? Or, if by some chance Jerry Seinfeld, Louis C.K, or Chris Rock is on this forum, any advice? However I don't think any black people are exploring this corner of the web. I'll try to get an album out for you guys to judge me.

Hey, we totally had a black guy at one point.

He either found another forum and left us, or was eaten by an alligator.

He was a wrangler you see, so I am inclined toward believing that a gruesome death in the maw of a modern day dinosaur is the only thing that would keep him from this place.

And I only go to Philadelphia for the crack.

Actually, I've always thought that rap and stand-up comedy were similar. They're both alternative forms of story-telling.

It's just that rap is usually braggadocios and stand-up comedy is usually based around self-deprecation.

I would agree. The big difference between the two is that rap is self praise and comedy is self humbling,  just listen to Eminem and Richard Lewis.

Haha. I chuckled. My best songs deal with losing at Starcraft and the inability to get laid.

Nothing is more contagious than making the audience crack up. It's my drug of choice nowadays :)

Shea. Post up a video of yourself dude!!!!!

I'll tell you where you guys can listen to my album when it comes out. I'm not advised to post a video of myself yet, it would look like I'm self promoting too much, I guess. Agency and managing business.

Given the state of the world, and internet, I am not so sure there is a limit to how much one can advertise and have it still be within the realm of reasonable.

Even so, I suppose it is up to you and your overly caution publicity advisor to decide your own level of exposer.

I will say though, that if you are in fact a hilarious motherfucker, a posted video or two in places like this would establish a nice little internet fan base to build your career on. I probably wouldn't buy a comedy album from/featuring someone that has never made me laugh before, and I definitely won't be anywhere near Philadelphia in the next probably ever to see a show of yours. Even though I hear the crack is amazing.

I appreciate the sentiment that if I were to no longer exist all hell would break loose and life as we know it would flip on its ass and the archangels would ride.

I simply took two shots at making a Liberty Bell joke toward a comedian who I can only assume is from the Philadelphia area, and sadly didn't get any reaction.

I'm too European, I pronounced it in my head as 'brag-a-doh-chio'.

I saw two c's and turned into an Italian.

Been readin' too much I, Cladius.

Good luck, funny man! You ought to stick around the forums as we could do with a fresh face. Additionally, if you ever become the next Bill Hicks (that doesn't die tragically I hope), I can pretend I know you.

Could be promising. I already find your choice of font on the topic introduction to be amusing. <3
