It really is.
I want sword fighting robots.
This is a step in the right direction for like transformers or Jaegers or something.

Mechabushido!
unrelated: whenever someone says "has science gone too far?":
Do I have scales and a tail yet? No?
Science hasn't gone far enough

I wanted a tail. But then my boyfriend pointed out how it would get closed in doors and hurt when I sat on it wrong all the time.
Can't deny the logic.

My dog seems to do pretty good at not sitting on her tail, I bet it wouldn't be that bad of a problem.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

*just gonna bring this back on topic *
The real question is how they got these robots to do this. Did they program all the moves into both arms? Or did they write a program to anticipate and react to each others movements? There is a biiiiiig difference between the two

It's a choreographed demonstration. The entire thing was programmed to show the depth and precision that can be attained with the arms.

I don't know, I think I'd trust a robot with a welding lead more than I'd trust one with a sword. >.>
