well you're in luck. standard copy is forty bucks, digital deluxe (comes with pet/mount) is 60, and i think the collector's box is 80.

honestly, if i thought the class was fun enough, i'd probably fight to level one off the bat. besides, lots of people are gonna be using the raf bonus levels to power level monks to 80 on day one, anyway.

yeah. and even better for you, don't need MoP to play the pandaren (once the xpac releases). anyone can play them. you just need the xpac for monks and the level 90 stuff.
