Started this a couple of days ago.

Obviously wanted to try out monk as it was an entirely new class.

I rather enjoy the dps aspect of it.
I have not tried out healing (there's currently a bug where you are impervious to heals, seems like a moot point to try after that) and haven't as of yet given tanking a go.

The talent trees are completely different.
If you watched Blizzcon you got a taste of what to expect.
From what I've seen this far, you select a spec and there are 4 moves you can choose from with that spec.
As to how far in between you can add other talents, I am not aware.
I did however pick fists of fury, and it's pretty damn op.


The starting area for the pandas is amazingly beautiful.
The quests aren't near as many as with the Goblins but they also aren't as fun/funny.
It's a much more nature themed experience which ties into the race rather well imo.

There is a huge glitch when you get to a quest in which you need to light a torch.
Get as close to the brazier as you can and switch your graphics from ultra to low and click.
It will allow a split second of clarity while it reloads the character textures.

I thought the clothing they gave them was really interesting looking, I hope there are more of those models in the later levels.
It seems that they are one handed dual-wielders and they utilize energy like rogues and kitties.

I'm not sure what mount they will give them for ground travel, I personally am hoping for Yakks because they're too cute.
I have however seen the flying mount, and it is amazing.

I played a little at blizzcon, but I'm sure it's changed since then. They were pretty fun to DPS with, though it felt a little faceroll-ish.

All I know is they are goddamned adorable.

Finally bothered to buy me a new motherboard and such. downloading the beta atm. Just looked at the talent calculator and WTF. why are there no talent trees anymore! wtf is going on!!!!

Personally, I kinda like both.
I enjoy turtle mounts in the game, I have the little one on my goblin.
I just thought the Yakks would be interesting to have.

I hope if nothing else, they turn them into rep mounts for the little guys you do all the quests for nearby.

It seems like you buy an egg for them, and then start taking care of them as they grow.

I think it's a pretty neat idea.
I always enjoy the mini pet things they do in game, growing my own mount seems like fun to me.
Especially when it's a smoke breathing dragon. >.>
