This looks so cool. I wonder if that dye is good for the wood in the long term, but either way this is making me jealous. I need a new desk. Maybe I'll try something like this when I stop being lazy...

I think I could be that handy with the right tools.
Unfortunately I do t want to waste the money and find out I'm wrong.

I know they make wood dye specifically to last in vibrant colors even, though I'm not sure if this was the same.

I think the clear coating added will protect though I'm not sure if the dye itself will affect the integrity of the wood.

Right, it would be too pretty to glob up.

Mine is glass, but if I'd made my own I would have lived to try something like this.
