I dunno... DBZ and it's slow ass progression probably pushes a lot of people away

I believe mine was Pokemon. I still watch from time to time. Not like it was when it all began though.

I guess it would technically have been the original Pokemon or Yu-Gi-Oh! back from when I was a kid, but I like to say Fruits Basket is what really introduced me to the anime world. I watched a lot of Bleach, Inuyasha, Chobits, etc as well. And now I'm watching Lucky Star on and off. Just not as into the anime world as I used to be, but I'm okay with that. :)

i was really into ruroni kenshin(sp?)-the show about the badass samurai assassin whod lose his memory and be a regular dude after every fight. but i think the first anime that i knew was anime that i watched was akira which is seriously the craziest ish ive seen as a teen. (im 24 now...gettin old)

First anime that I knew was an Anime was most likely the first season of pokemon or DBZ in the 90s, first actual anime was most likely Robotech or Dragon Warrior.

I dont even remember Robotech or Dragon warrior I just remember looking them up on the internet after putting in some key words of some "mystery" show i watched as a kid and couldn't remember the name of. It might not even be those two animes.

I also watched thundercats (I know its anime inspired and not actual anime) and I also saw Samurai Pizza Cats.

My first would technically be Dragon Ball Z, but I was too little to remember anything of it. So the first that actually got me into anime was InuYasha and Sailor Moon.

I can't remember which was first, but I discovered Petite Princess Yucie and Record of Lodoss War in the same day after getting lost in Comcast's OnDemand menu. Yucie remains one of my favorites to this day >>;

Mine would be Pokemon, back when I was 6...but then again everyone watched Pokemon >.< but I was reintroduced to anime, and my first was soul eater...

HOLY COW! The first anime I saw was Dragon Warrior too!!! I didn't think anyone else would have that on here. The first anime I watched that I knew was anime at the time though... Either Dragon Ball (original) or Ranma 1/2. I can't remember which was first. One of those two though.

My older sister was really into Sailor Moon, so that was probably the first one I saw. Although Pokemon and DBZ were the first animes I ever really watched intensely.
