You can get it free by using the code I-LOVE-THE-SIMS. I just did, even though I'm not too keen on Origin. I love the Sims, and free stuff is never bad.

Oh my the sims! DO I HAVE A LOT OF HOURS IN THAT OR WHAT!
I am guilty of spending like half of those hours purely on character creation >____> When I played the sims 3 PETS.. there were a lot of perfectly modified horsies and dogs.. *twiddles thumbs* I'm adult... I promise.....
