I was extremely naive for a long time. Boys were terrifying. I didn't kiss a boy until the summer after my freshman year of high school. I didn't "do it" until senior year, with a guy I had dated for a year. I cried haha. I missed my virginity.

This is so weird that you posted this topic because I was just talking to my bestie about this. I feel like things are so different now from when we were in high school. There is so much more pressure and like things are so much more casual, almost like they don't even have the same value anymore. I didn't have my first real kiss till sixth grade. Now that is like soooooo long to wait. Crazy how times change.

Man, I'm pretty sure I didn't get my first meaningful kiss until I was about 15 or 16 and I didn't get my first French kiss until I was about 17 I think. I'm sure there are kids little more than half that number getting that far these days.

I fooled around with girls and the occasional guy before but I didn't actually lose my v-card for proper dick'n'gash sex until I was 18, with my current girlfriend. To me virginity doesn't mean much but I think it was special to her that she was the first girl I allowed to be more-than-intimate with.

 

I honestly think that it's crazy kids feel the need to lose their virginity as early as possible. A girl asked me to stay the night with her at a hotel when I was 16 and I mean...I did go up to her room and yeah we got into bed together and yeah we fooled around a bit but the moment I realised what she really wanted I fucking upped and outed of that hotel like it was on fire. I was fucking terrified! She was four years my elder and she was actually staying with a girl six years older than me. I don't know how many 16 year olds would pass up an opportunity like that these days. The thing is I feel like they'd want to lose their virginity because it's almost an embarrassment to be a virgin, especially for guys. That's sooooo the wrong reason to want to bone someone.

My fiance did it in 8th grade. I can't imagine. But hes a stud for real. Plus he grew up in an extremely small town (900 people) so he says with nothing to do, you find other ways to have fun haha. But he also was popular with the ladies for a while after school too. I had to get over some insecurities. But you know what. Even with all the partners, he's pretty bashful about it. Haha

I was 16 when I first started fooling around, but it wasn't until I was 18 that I lost my virginity, embarrassingly because I was terrified it would hurt. I don't even want to remember it lol.

 

I think sex is sort of built up to be this absolutely amazing thing that will change your life and make you cool with all the sexual marketing we have and kids want to be in the know. Sure, it feels pretty great, but it wasn't too life changing...
