after reading through this topic I was a little surprised that there wasn't a forum related minecraft server (Another great way to drive traffic, although a tad dangerous)

I could run one on my VPN, I don't know how many people it could support though. I should give it a try right now.

actually, with the pricing of the vpn service you use, let me know how it works, and I might buy one to set up a minecraft server on it.

I got one running, 256MB of ram is just sad. It took it about 3 minutes to render the chunks in far view distance with just me connected.

Yeah. I'd say that a decent minecraft server should have a gig at minimum.
