It's  since been sewed back up, sans squeaker. All morning she's been trying to make it squeak. When it doesn't, she gets pissed off, throws it on the ground and gives me sad eyes.

My dog does the same thing. He has a squeaky burger right now that doesn't squeak, because he's chewed small holes into it. He has a Santa ball that he's crushed in half, so that doesn't squeak either >.>

I had no idea you had a dog. >.>

Apparently they're a lot less fun if they don't sound like dying animals.

We had to stop giving my one dog anything with a squeaker or any kind of stuffing in it at all because he would tear it apart and then eat the inside contents. One emergency surgery was enough. So now it is strictly boring toys. Poor Kobe.

She has no interest in the stuffing, besides ripping it all out and leaving a huge mess on the floor. >.>

I love when they rip all the stuffing out, leaving a huge mess, and then they stand there like super proud of what they did. They are like "Look at my masterpiece! Now clean it up bitch!"

Oh the joys of owning pets.

My dog is no longer allowed stuffed toys for that reason >.> it was fine when he was a puppy, but now he just shakes stuff until it explodes. Then he eats the stuffing. I swear that fucker eats anything >.>

The dog I had around here for about 4 months would make his toy squeak and look at me innocently. Any attempt of mine to approach him would cause him to move away and repeat his behaviour haha

If I didn't TRY to get it he'd get desperate and look sad. His facial expressions were prolly all in my head. Thing is I didn't usually go after it, but still it was funny xD

Dogs are awesome :D

My dogs love de-stuffing soft toys, and two of them chew rubber toys. We've come home to stuffing all over the living room, and little bits of rubber everywhere. They're destructive little shits >.>

Do you know why they tear them up and are proud? It's prey drive, just like when dogs go running to catch a bunny. Ares has a really strong prey drive so he will literally take off full speed after bunnies. That's why taking dogs on walks is suggested. That way they are using energy they would use to chase after small animals. That's also why they destroy toys. They are like Ya! I made that animal my birch, look mom/dad. Also why they might tear up other things (too much indirected energy). Ares has torn up his rope, time for a new one :)

Yup, I know my 3 have a high prey drive. You should try a laser pointer with them, I picked up a cheap 5MW green laser on dx.com a while back, it's bright enough that it shows up during the day (inside) and when it's dark you can actually see the beam. My dogs LOVE chasing it around the house and the back yard, the two active ones do anyways.

My dog doesn't really have a prey drive. He's just too retarded to play with toys normally. He brought me a baby bird once and glared at me until I said I'd look after it XD

And if he gets ahold of any kind of wounded animal my cat has decided to parade around, he does the same thing. He's about as non-violent as a dog can be. He's just large, so he crashes into things. And people. And doors.

And walls.
