Im am now playing an Elf, swordmaster. But ive been a rouge, and archer. Doppelganger, and dwarf. Im very much enjoying my choices right now, but I think the next character I play will be evil :)

I've only played once but I played an elf wizard. I think it was a bit too much for my first character, there's a lot of rules for wizards and it would have been a lot easier just to go smashy smashy stabby stabby. And for some reason I always want to play a support character and get disappointed when I can't do much damage.

Go rouge, or fighter, my first was a healer type and I agree, I like action. Rouge or archer would be a good next step. You aren't in the face of the battle unless it isn't contained, and you definitely get action. I am a elf fighter in the newest campaign, and I'm super excited to slice some limbs!

In roleplay games like DnD, I like to play as characters who are similar to me so the roleplay part is easier. If you play a character who should not be like you but you act like yourself while playing him or her, you are playing the game wrong. Not to be too negative, but I usually take the easy path, which for me means neutral good characters with more int, wis, and cha who can barely walk or hold a sword.

Usually Elf archer for me. Levity, speed, distance.

Or something involving heavy magic usage. Scratch the first one, I'm a mage. Fuck weapons, I'll kill you with my mind lasers.

Okay, so four years later, I would go with halfling rogue. Or some sort of healer. Or a tiefling.

I'm working on a High Elf fighter that's level 4 now.  I've played Human fighters and Wood Elf fighters too.  I'm content on how they perform during a module.
