So I just discovered this last night and started watching it.

 

I thought it was ok.

 

I was a big fan of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! and Yu-Gi-Oh GX and this series follows in the same vein.

 

Virtual reality and technology seem to be the primary focus where duels are fought it a 3D simulation type of environment.

 

This series is probably my least favorite of the three but by no means is it bad. I like the concept that the main protagonists father was a famous dueler. I also like that he's somewhat of a clown. (A jester to be precise) It's a nice change from the brooding teen or upbeat cool guy. I like this one because he's a bit of a dork. 

 

I'm only halfway through the season and so far so good.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's was the best of them all tho I rank the original in the same regards. I thought GX and Zexal were very childish which is why I never finished those series but Ill give Arc-V a shot

I tried to watch 5D's but just could get past the second episode. I liked GX because I liked the concept of the schools (Mind you I was still at high school when it came out so I could relate)  

 

I don't mind the childish aspect, so long as the character develops and grows throughout the series. (Which normally happens)

 

Besides Japan is the only place I know where adults (acceptably) collect toys lol

 

Essentially I'm a manchild myself CHILDHOOD FOR LIFE!!!!!
