Hey guys! So, what are some science experiments that you want to see? These can be to explain a law or principle, or simply because fire is beautiful. I must be able to do said experiments with relatively low cost and at home, that is, legally.

There is that legal word that keeps popping up when science is mentioned.

Operating within the limits of what is legal severely limits what I can accomplish and learn.

I don't know what you have access to but it would be kind of interesting to watch bacteria compete for space..
WHat you need:
Agar plate
Two different types of bacteria, it would be most helpful if they were the type to grow in colonies, that way you can see them, or a type that has some color. Like E. coli.
Q tips for applying, I would recommend filling each side with a different type.
Tape the agar plate and observe away.

Also another fun thing to do that I've always wanted to try, ( not really an experiment though) hatch and grow butterfly's. It's cheap.

If only we could clone ourselves...... Might be a bit dangerous for me. I'm too fond of myself. Probably end like this....

Strange masterbation maybe.

Realistically, I think I might try finding the bouyancy of certain liquids without knowing the density. Perhaps if I had the volume it could work. I could even throw in a protractor for that experiment. I am fascinated by both electrical units and chemical reactions. I also like trying to explode stuff! What two chemicals would cause the largest - yet still legal - explosion?

The Tesla I know doesn't care about legality. Haha...is this supposed to be hypothetical, because if so, why throw legal limitations in there? If you really want to conduct an experiment, how's about we buy some experimental - legal - drugs and find out what they do?

edit - oh, and it won't cost much, but you're buying.

I was unaware that anyone would be able to pick up an ant and put stilts on it. If they used a magnifying glass to do that, then that would have killed the ant, right? Anyway, no one has really responded to the "exploding" question that I had. It's like this website is turning into a ghost town.

Sorry, dude, not a physicist.

And I imagine that that ants may have been inside whilst a magnifying glass was being used on them.

And Ragtime, try pure sodium and distilled water
But don't use a lot of sodium... seriously

Because I can...
