With all this extra money we can hopefully get a really good quality mask for the machine and in no sooner time too as my gf's asthma is consistently deteriorating at this point. Pictures should be up next week!

Okay I've bought the clothes and (unfortunately) they are expected to arrive in 17 to twenty-something days.

Hey guys, 

 

We've run into a problem in that the cpap machine vendor will not sell to a customer if they don't have a valid prescription. What this means is that unless we test Amy for sleep apnea we still can't get the stupid machine. I apologise from the depths of my heart as I was not informed of this by my girlfriend.

 

However, we have found a clinic that offers income based medication for asthma patients and today we went there to get a prescription for a ventolin inhaler, advair inhaler and singulair tablets. These drugs will effectively keep Amy's asthma at bay.

 

I will refund the people who donated 100% of the money you guys gave us or, with your permission, we will use the money to keep her stocked up with this medication for months. I totally understand if you choose to refund though of course! This wasn't what I said the money would go for and I assure you this isn't me guilt tripping.

 

We haven't yet spent a single penny of the money we raised. If you guys need proof that we have the appropriate prescriptions, receipts and medications to help you in your judgement I will be happy to post a picture of Amy and myself holding all the items.

 

I cannot apologise enough for the mixup and if it's any consolation I fucking exploded when I found this out myself about thirty minutes ago.

 

Any way, if the people who donated (one of you was, I believe, anonymous) get back to me as and when you have the time via PM if that's easier, sorry to you all.

Sir, you greatly underestimate the amount of trust that we all have in you.

I don't think anyone on here, especially those who were willing to part with some cash to help you in your quest, questions your intentions or quality of character.

Though your updates on the situation and rampant apologies are appreciated, I assure you they are not necessary.

I agree with Affray, I think people who donated (I'm sorry I was unable to ;- will still willing let you keep the money for other medical items.

I err...I actually really did underestimate everyone I think. So far everyone who has contacted me from a number of sites has basically told me not to be so silly and I'm just sitting here now tearing up a little because I have such amazing, trustworthy friends and it means a lot. <3
