Git it git git it!

For anyone who is nocturnal and abuses their eyes on their PC/ laptop, you neeeeed this app!

https://justgetflux.com/

It basically changes the ambient colour of your screen to match the lighting in your room and is scheduled to slowly turn on/ off depending on the sunset and sunrise of your location. Currently I'm using my laptop at 2am and my eyes feel fairly okay whereas normally I'd be getting a headache at this point. After a little while you don't notice the colour change and it actually hurts your eyes to turn f.lux off. Ahhh that soothing orange glow.

Any way, you can turn it off for gaming/ drawing, all works from the taskbar and it uses pretty much zero CPU. ^_^

I think this is a really cool idea. I can't wait to get home and actually try it.  My eyes thank you!

Very useful indeed.

I won't partake because a little while ago I figured out how to manually tinker with the ability to adjust how dim my screen is thanks to Linux.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

To be honest, i couldn't hack the default organgey glow. That was actually giving me a headache itself, but I found some extra settings in the options menu and now have it to just a less intensely lit screen :)
