So I'm just now coming fresh off the anime Attack On Titan which, to me, is one of the best written and produced anime series in the last couple of years. With that said, I think it's also the most depressing anime I've watched. Just when things seem like they are getting better, the anime kicks you in the balls (or va j j) and knocks you back down to your knees in tears and disappointment. The ending is pretty shocking and unexpected, and leaves you wanting more. Thank goodness they are making a second season! The manga is just as great and they follow basically the same path, at least from what I've read so far. Overall, this is a must see anime for anyone who wants an intense/great story!

The reason I bring up Attack On Titan and how depressing it was leads into the reason I made this new topic post. After watching anime after anime, mainly those that are sad and depressing or dark and messed up, I decided it was time to take a breather and watch something that wouldn't stress me out, or make me too upset. Enter hulu.com recommendations and it was a toss up between Blood Lad and The Devil Is A Part-Timer. I went with the second choice and I'm here to tell you that this is a great anime with a lot of comedy in each episode. I won't give away much, but will say that I'm only 2 episodes away from the finale, and I wish there was more seasons! The main story behind this anime is the devil satan almost loses a battle to the hero, and as a result, leaves his underworld and escapes to our human world in downtown Tokyo. Now, with no powers to go back to his realm, he must do what any of us would do, get a part time job and try to survive. It may sound cheesy, but the story is so well written and the characters are incredibly comedic. I'm pretty sure there's at least one or two scenes per episode that make me legit laugh out loud(unlike the majority of the time when we have straight faces yet say "lol" as if we are even smiling a tiny bit) I hope those that read this decide to check it out! Again, it's on Hulu Plus and if anyone is interested in checking out, but you don't have a hulu account, just shoot me a message or comment on here and I'll give you my referral code for a 2 week free trial! That's how I became a member of Hulu Plus and just haven't stopped because of all the anime.

If anyone watches and ends up enjoying it, or somehow hating it, feel free to comment on this and discuss it with me! :)

From the title alone, it sounds interesting. I just imagine Satan, voiced by James Woods, yelling at his subordinates for screwing everything up while he was home with the misses.

I thought the first episode of this was hysterical, but within the next two episodes I lost interest. Maybe I should finish it. A good lighthearted anime is what you need after you've watched too many heavy things.
