Out of curiosity, is there a limit to the size of shot you can buy? I know fowl hunting is pretty popular, so I imagine 6 and 7 is readily available, but that's what Cheney shot his friend in the face with, and it didn't do too much. >.>

Not gonna lie, I don't have a clue about shooting. In my entire life I've only ever held a gun, never shot it, have no inclination to learn either. Bows however, that's something else, I'd love to be able to use a long bow or cross bow.

Anything smaller than #bb probably won't do too much to a zombie. Anything smaller than 6 won't pierce most animal hides, and 8 and below won't do much to a human besides piss them off unless you get an eye or something. For zombie killing, you want to try and get #00. Hornady (which I believe is sold in the UK) actually markets for it, look for their boxes for easy grabbing.


Also, shooting a bow is a shit ton of fun, you should go to a range and give it a try.

Have to buy a bow, get a licence and join a club first. The reason why our firearms crime is so low is because it's fucking impossible to get anything....no wait scratch that, we're just comparatively lower. XD

Gosh me and my closest friends always, and I mean ALWAYS end up talking about this. We have a plan, and before we leave, we refresh our memory and come up with better ways of survival and stuff. We don't have such an amazing plan but we know the basics. Right now, believe it or not, I'm carrying with my an emergency food ration. A sandwich that lasts up to 5 years and a sack of salted water. These are army food, and I always carry them with me inside a small bag that goes inside my backpack. Inside that small bag, is also a small first aid kit, a flashlight and batteries for it. And around my neck, I have a travel sized Swiss knife, which is adorable. And back at my house I have another backpack filled with all the necessary. I've got a meeting spot with my friends and family, incase we get separated, or incase we weren't together at the time of the tragedy. We know where we must hide, and in case of being followed, it is always a good idea to go to high places. Unless zombies by them develop some kind of jumping or superhuman skills, we will be safer up high that underground. I don't think I'm physically fit or mentally prepared but I am willing to run and fight. But, one thing that seriously has me in stress and almost made me cry one day, is how am I going to save my mom, when she has such a bad health condition and can barely walk. And what about all of my pets? I can't carry all 3 dogs and 3 birds. I've though that if the day comes, I would let the birds fly off, but honestly 2 of them just don't want to fly. They like to be near me. They just never had interest in flying away. And my 3 dogs are too loud and rebel to make them follow me. They'd get killed.

I also, though of keeping a stock of gasoline for the car, and that way I could just put everyone in there, and were god to go (its a large van) but what if Aliens are happening at the same time as well? And they have managed to stop everything, and were forced to survive on foot? yeah. I've though even about Aliens. I believe in anything and everything, and always make up a survival plan for each disaster.

Thats one of the reasons, why I started working out to get fit. I mean, if I'm going to survive, I can't afford extra baggage, and I'll need to have more energy to stay put. Chances are were gonna be running a lot when that happens. I just hope I'm with my loved ones by then. And if I had to kill someone I love, I don't know what I would do.
