Everyone has a zombie plan, what's yours?

Honestly, I don't really have one anymore. v_v

I had one when I lived in Minnesota. I was going to go find my Dad and my Sister, who are a Physician and a Microbiologist. And then we'd get a few of my friends and start a little walled colony somewhere up north. With palisade walls and whatnot.
But now I'm on the East Coast, between Boston and NYC. So my new zombie plan is to be completely screwed.

Yeah, that's not a place I'd want to be. You need a warehouse or something you can defend.

I'm not a good runner and I'm only good in a Rican fight so it'd be to find a good spot to hold up at and kill on site.

A warehouse would be good temporarily, but I'd be screwed after a bit.

Basically what I'd do nowadays is go get my hiking pack and a couple of knives, and see how far I could make it on foot.

I'v actually put a fair amount of thought into this and unfortunately i cannot come up with a solid solution without knowing what kind of zombies were talkin about here. Are they fast zombies or slow zombies? Are they smart enough to climb to chase their prey? Are we talking a disease that leaves them still living but in a frenzied rage like 28 days later(In other words can they be killed like humans can be killed or does it require separation of the spinal column/brain stem destruction? or your more standard variety night of the living dead type zombies?

Until i know the answers to these questions my strategy would simply be to hunker down for a few days to study and see what the hell im up against.

If they are slow that simplifies things a lot, if they are fast i think 99.97% of the infected area will be dead/turned within a few days time. In such a case i would gather friends and family(many live quite conveniently on my block) and fortify a section of sagemont church at the end of my block. they have enough supplies to feed a small army for weeks at the church already so supplies wouldnt be an issue for this shorter term type of zombie attack, and between my house and my cousins next door we have enough melee/ranged weaponry to support a small army. at least enough to provide protection for those in our group over the weeks it would take for the still-living zombie variety to die off.


With slow zombies i would hunker down at home for a few days with family while fortifying the place a bit to allow for some time to study the zombies and also allow the initial EVERYBODY GET OUT OF THE CITY panic to pass/get eaten away. The initial risk from that quick onset city wide panic would be more of a risk than the zombies. After a few days pass and everyone is either dead and walking around or gotten out(sadly few would make it out in this panic situation) myself and my family would gather supplies and reinforce a few larger vehicles, preferably the armored bank truck at the bank only a few blocks away, we would head north to test the theory placed forward in World War Z of zombies freezing solid in below freezing temperatures(they freeze faster than us because they have no internal body heat which either makes them easy targets or, despite world war z insisting otherwise, would kill them due to the crystallization of the liquids in the brain caused by freezing which should destroy the brain stem, effectively making the cold your best friend.

See, this is one of the many reasons I only just scraped though my GCSE's. Waaaaay too much time spent wondering what I would do if a zombie outbreak occurred in my science classes. I'd make a break for the local hunting store, grab ammo, shotguns and .22 rifles, back down to the corner shops down my road, take vast supplies of food, using said weapons to convince shop keepers if necessary. Then it's just a case of phoning a select few friends to join me if they so please, demolishing the staircase and subsisting on baked beans on the top floor until such a time as it becomes important to move on out and find greener pastures.

Oh, and run a bath of cold water, where you gonna be when the pipes stop working brudda?

It's just in case anyone here turns into zombies, they won't know what I'm going to do.
