If you're thinking of buying one and you don't know much about it.... then you've come to the right place....

Ok I've had this device for a month now and bought it solely for Persona 4 Golden.

I also bought this with the intent of using it as my new mp3 device.... big mistake.

Instead of drop and drag (like the old PSP) you have to download this bullshit app and rip half your music library to it, travel to Europe, Mix some polyjuice potion and consult Dumbledore.... In other words IT'S FUCKING COMPLICATED!!!!

I know Sony was trying to combat piracy and all, but jesus did they make it complicated to port a simple music file to your device.... Don't even get me started on how to import a video....

Now on to web browsing. Sure you can watch youtube videos, and check your facebook... (mobile) but what the fuck??? The app crashes every so often with these stupid 404 type messages and you can't even watch metacafe, Vimeo, or Pornotube videos..... Not even soundcloud or Bandcamp works because the flash player is not supported......  C'mon man!!!! My IPad from 2010 works better than this.

The more I play with it, the more bugs I discover, shit, even Uncharted Golden Abyss suffered from a glitch that prevented me from rotating this stupid helmet and progressing through the game. (Spanish Helmet Glitch)

Man this device has sooooooooo much bugs.... No wonder why sales are poor.

Aside from a few good games.... (Little Big Planet, Tearaway) this was a waste of money. Persona 4 Golden is the only reason for buying this thing... I swear..... and having a device that can play PSOne games....... But the psp can do that too....

TL:DR

Buy a 3DS,

I shit you not.

That is all

3DS is obviously better, but what makes PSVita a good choice is PSN+. If you are a subscriber paying like 50 euro every year, you have a great free game collection on PS3, PSP and PS Vita. Of the three I only have PS3 and pirated PSP, but it's still a steal for that money. As long as I'm subscribed I have Dragon's Dogma, Uncharted 3, Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2, A tale of brothers, and many many others, these are just from the last few months. Plus of course just as many Vita games that keep itching me, because I don't have PSVita.

As for the MP3/Browsing internet thingy, isn't like every smartphone good enough for that anyway? I wouldn't bother on handheld console.

I have never owned a PS Vita, but looking at the game list I wonder how it could ever satisify a Playstation fan. Most of the games are remakes of games that came on earlier Playstation systems, or they are games that you can get on the PS3 instead. It seems like it might be okay as an introductory system to the systems but not real for people who have been playing Playstation since the PS1.

The 3DS was having the same problem early on, luckily they moved away from remakes and starting getting a good library. Sadly the Wii U isn't recovering as well.

PSN+ would be good if I had a PS3 or a PS4, which I don't. Not to mention the memory cards for the Vita are through the roof. Cost me $30 for an 8GB so every time I download a "free" game or two I would have to go out and buy another chip. Not worth it in the long run.

I don't have a smartphone atm so this Vita is my only portable mp3 device.

You are correct, the best games on this device are remade PS2 games. Talk about budget cheapo mofoz!!!!!

I sure hope that Sony can strike up some deal with Rockstar to make another Grand Theft Auto game from scratch. None of this rehash bullshit.

Let's hope that Persona 5 is released on the Vita...... If it isn't......
