Hey thanks for the suggestion. What exactly is this site? A movie database forum of sorts?

I would suggest this: http://bit.ly/1gq92KY
Go on some of there and only talk on japanese.
Also this: http://lang-8.com/
This is a wonderful little site where you create a journal and write in the language you're learning and people will come and critique you on how you used the language. I think teachers mention in it class in Japan for anyone who wants supplementary practice for English because a good chunk of the population of the site is Japanese. They're more than willing to help with your Japanese if you help with their English. I had a journal there for a while but I spent so much time making friends by helping them with English that I barely made any journal entries haha. I was the top critiquer for like a month because I'd be giving comments on all the journals entries I saw.
Of course it's a bit difficult with Japanese because you have to be able to read/write alright before you start. Most comments are in the native language as well, so most people who correct your writing will correct it in Japanese

Word. I'll sign up. Reading and writing are definitely my weakest points. I only recognize a handful of characters but the ones I do know I am able to guess and construct the sentence to get a general idea of what is being said.
I don't mind reverting back to my childhood days of writing about what I did in the weekend. This could actually be pretty fun and hilarious.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I don't recommend Rosetta Stone, unless you want to be proficient at saying useless crap like "The red ball in on a wide table"
lol I guess we gotta start somewhere.
I'm actually eying up the site Sushikitten threw me. Seems pretty legit and a step up from that.

I heard it's not worth buying unless it's supplementary to your learning, and then it's not worth buying because it's supplementary.
Apparently if you get it you best get it on sale or 2nd hand. :/
I WANNA LEARN ESPANOL! Q~Q

I used to use this for Japanese, it's sort of like an online flashcard thing. You do some learning, then you get tested on it, and you keep doing it and doing it so it gets drummed into your head. Then you move onto the more complicated ones and repeat.
RosettaStone was a waste of time for me. It was mildly useful, but definitely not useful enough to warrant paying for it, at all.

That could be pretty neat. I found these hiragana cards today where the characters have been made into pictures, like "na" for example is a nun kneeling down praying and "hi" is a smiley face laughing. Very good way of remembering them.
As for Risetta Stone, Everyone seems to bash that site therefore I have chosen not to bother with it

I was bored at work so I decided to check out this site and it is pretty awesome. I like the concept of it and I like the way it works and really challenges you to remember what you learn. Great suggestion
