I've recently been watching sitcoms I watched when I was a child. Things like Malcolm in the Middle, My Name is Earl, etc. I was wondering if anyone else was obsessed with sitcoms as much as I was or if you are still obsessed with sitcoms.

I remember hating Malcolm in the Middle.
Does The Fresh Prince count as a sitcom? That's the only one I remember from childhood that I still like.

Same, I always liked the Fresh Prince that was it. I spent the rest of my time watching all the seasons of the Crosby Show over and over.

Can't think of any English sitcoms. If they even exist here, I don't think they are our speciality when it comes to humour. I watched comedies more like the Mighty Boosh and more recently Garth Merenghi's darkplace.

I never really remember watching Home Improvement that much. It came on at weird times so I was left without Tim's glorious sounds.

No. The Fresh Prince counts as a neo-noir thriller.
All joking aside. I haven't seen it on here. I don't know if it runs on stations I don't/didn't go to, but I've never gotten a good chance to see it. What I will say is that the theme song is incredible.

Tim's grunts and his "errrrggghhhhss" were a constant gag in the playground.
Always came on at 6.30pm every night. After the folks finished watching the news, Straight Home Improvement followed by The Simpsons at 7.

Full House and Courage the Cowardly Dog were my favourites back in the day, especially the latter. It gave me a legitimate reason to fake all kinds of sicknesses during my school years for that little dose of wicked, imaginative black comedy.

Fawlty towers.
Other than that, I think like 90% of sitcomes suck. Then there's that one gem you find.
M*A*S*H was pretty great. Arrested development. Things like that.
The only sitcom on tv atm that I enjoy is community (of the ones that I have watched)

Ah faulty towers how could I forgot. However although it's status is that of a sitcom, I don't really see it as one. I feel it is slightly seperate from them. When I think of sitcoms my mind goes to the steaming piles of shit like two and a half men. Those are what I relate to sitcoms. With the word 'comedy' used loosely.

The only thing I liked about Malcolm in The Middle was Bret Hart vs Chris Benoit at the beginning (the wrestlers)
Good intro

I'm glad Terry Crews is doing other things now. He's amazing on Brooklyn-99.
