Wow.  I can't believe I missed out on this game.  I've been playing that and Civ5. (Got a steam discount getting both).

Firaxis has definitely impressed me lately.  Work is so hard to focus on when I have countries that need me to extort them for protection from aliens.

I really enjoyed the reimagining of Enemy Unknown. At some point I'm gonna need to shell out for Enemy Within, too...

Fun game. Enemy Within adds a few interesting changes. Have not played the multiplayer much. The campaign was fun.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I shall bump this as I'm playing it on PC. I have to say it's a fuckton better than PS3. And it's nice to see that I still suck horribly at it. I started an Enemy Within game, got up to this random mission set in a small fishing settlement in Newfoundland. Trudge through it, so far so good. Zombies no match for my laser sniper, chrysallids ain't shit because I'm smart enough to set up Overwatch crossfires. Get near the end, inside a large ship. Whale corpse that spews chrysallids. Oh shit.jpg. Set up Overwatch crossfires and send my fastest soldier to hit the button the game is pointing me to. Chrysallid breaks away and rips her guts out. More chrysallids are popping out so I figure time for the heavy weaponry. Regular rockets, shredder rockets (I had three heavy troopers) all seemed well. No enemies left, decided to reload my guns before moving up. Send shotgun guy up the stairs, chrysallid eats him. 4 more pop out, and I had to abort the mission, losing all my best men ._. Including Zhang.

I play it on ps3. I know that mission, i lost only one person on that mission actually.

Once I noticed how they were spawning I sent the one rookie I brought on the mission to push the button while the rest lined up to drop anything that spawned.

He made it to the button but 2 chrysallids survived for one round and that was enough to om nom him. After that I ran full out on turns where no chrysallids were in sight and gunned them down as they caught up to us. I managed to escape the area on the last turn before the airstrike

Oh also i had 2 heavy's, 2 snipers, 1 support, and 1 assault(the one who died).
