My Dad is threatening to kick me out of my Grandmother's house if I don't get a job this week. I have no where to go with tons of debt in medical bills. I have been to multiple failed interviews. Why can't he understand that? I'm trying, but he's making things a lot worse. If I don't find a job immediately, I'm just gonna kill myself.
That's a garbage situation on all fronts but I cannot stress enough how it is absolutely not the end of the world.
It might seem like you're backed in to a corner with no real options and the only way out is to no longer be alive, but there are always other ways to get out of the muck.
I've had depression and suicide in my life one way or another for quite some time now but I don't know enough about your situation to give any real specific advice on what you can do to remedy things so if you'd like you can message me on here and fill me in.
Or just talk, whatever you like.
And you've obviously got other people in the forum who are here to help in any way we can.
Just talk to us.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Whoa, dude. That's awful. Does your grandmother get a say in this?
You are trying, mate, and that is not to be discounted.
Take care of yourself. I hope you can find a more positive influence.

Any job is a good start my friend, and there's nothing stopping you from continuing to search for something better or more joy bringing.
Sometimes you have to hop from job to job before you find one that you like and can like comfortably on.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

Totally! And maybe you can use this job to build some connections and get a better one! Maybe a coworker's mom's neighbor works at an ice cream shop that just happens to need a new Super Scooper!
No, that's not my dream job, what are you talking about?

I have faith. You will find exactly what you like, and what makes you happy.

Yeah. I'm just tired of moving from job to job in hopes that I can find one as good as the one I was let go from. Eventually, I might not be able to get hired anywhere again.
That's not the case, mate. Just keep the faith and remember to emphasize your good points!

I had that happen to me.
I had a job that I LOVED. I was good at it, I was making a difference for people, I was making almost-livable money.
And then i got put into a very traumatic no-win situation wherein by following what I was told, I was fired.
I was DEVESTATED.
Then I found another job eventually. It was pretty okay. I was there for three years.
Fired for no reason.
Once again, I was destroyed. I was uneployed for over a year after that (was very hungry indeed toward the end of it).
Then I got a new job that was awful and almost sent me to the hospital with a full anxiety attack. I quit after a month, but made very good money during that time.
Soon after, found a new job with some extremely lovely people. The job itself wasn't enjoyable, but I was able to move to a position that was way better after a while.
And then another with better pay.
And then a promotion with even better pay.
And I'm not done yet. I'm still looking for something better because I know it exists.
I know this SUCKS right now, but I promise things will get better.
If you ever want someone to proofread or improve your resume or whatever, hit me up.
As dumb and cliché as it always sounds, "You always miss the shot you don't take." Apply for ANYTHING and EVERYTHING you could want. You lose nothing by trying.

I watched my son go through the same.
One shit job after another... I watched his soul die a little, he worked hard.. each job, then he was let go.
He was depressed. I offered my help, he kept refusing.
Eventually, he let me assist.
We shotgunned 200 resumes out.
it took 3 months, and a boat load of interviews, but now he works at his dream company. Not the job he wants in the end, but he is advancing. Last week they offered to pay for him to go to school for his next higher degree.
Bottom line, its out there, and dont loose faith or hope. If you like, I can review your resume as well.
Dont give up!

My previous job I had, I loved, I gave 110% effort.
I knew I did a fantastic job, my co-workers knew too. Even some of the parents gave me amazing praise.
Just for some reason my boss hated me. Never gave me the proper kudos and steifled me quite often.
It's the first and only job I did where I started to question that hard work don't mean shit.
She wasn't going to renew my contract but wanted to keep me on as a temp/sub/back-up/plan b. I flat out declined.
Well long story short I learned that she had given me a glowing reference for my current job...... (WTF????)
I guess she realized the void that I had left in my absence???
The age old quote "You don't know what you have until it's gone" rings true.
THE HELL YOU READING FOOL???

Oh my god that's AWESOME! One of the reasons I didn't leave a terrible job I used to have for a long time was that my boss was 100% cool with my weirdness.
I was like, "Nah, I ain't going anywhere, I don't want to have to break in a new one".

What up, it's ya boi Sympa. Everything sucks and nothing matters and I feel like I'm actually dying.
I have to make everything into a joke or else I'll implode into nothingness.
