I initially came here looking for ways to find friends with my same interests and stayed because of all the wacky signatures. Some are crazy...like the one in the Star Trek uniform that you can imagine going "pfff" as it animates   hahahaha And random cats here and there...and porn references hahahaha

I mean I'm new here but I kind of understand Sam's problem. In these kind of forums it always feels as if there is some kind of secret club and you don't know how to become part of it..

I thought that when I first joined too. 

 

There's no secret club (unless I'm really out of the loop). I'm guessing that feeling is just you getting used to the new environment.

I felt the same way when I joined. Everyone seemed so close knit at first, they all knew each other and I knew no one, I had no idea how I would fit in. 

 

But if you just keep posting and sharing stuff, eventually you'll worm yourself into this wonderful little circle of friends. It's not hard at all to get along with people here and friends are easily made.

You seem to be getting along with everyone to me. I don't see how we haven't accepted the people that join (except for the select few rude people that come around.)

Sushi hit it on the head. Just keep coming around. You'll get to know people (if they stop changing their goddamn names/pics) and they'll get to know you. I love pretty much everything Sethre posts in Why So Serious, Spleen makes me laugh as much as he makes me think, Champion always has a strong opinion (something I can respect), I totally get Respawn 's humour, Gol... Love him, Wolfie is as much a softie as he is a furry (i.e. to the core), I haven't the faintest idea what to say about Danico... Goreijou has an interesting perspective, Scarecrow's advice on things is pretty sound, Affray is always eloquent...

 

This is just what I've picked up, and I've only been here since June. That sounds like a long time, but my favorite forum I had been a part of from '99-2010ish. So, that's kind of my basis for comparison.

Sorry Sethre, that's my wry humor at work - I frequently play it too straight-faced. That's why I added the line in light gray.

 

Sorry everyone. All of you have been great! Even Samantha has really helped me come out of my weird shell & she's newer than I am. I too felt awkward when I first joined & out of place - kinda like this...

 

 

 

 

... but now I'm starting to feel real comfy & cozy here. Kinda like this...

 

 

 

 

Now whether or not that's a good thing may be up for debate... well... I was gonna say that topic should get posted elsewhere but now I'm wondering: What exactly is "off limits" in this thread?
