It snowed pretty good around my house yesterday,  and it is just as abundant today.

I felt like posting these pictures to put in perspective how Canada is one with the snow compared to certain American States.

Inspired by those pictures I found about Austin Texas cancelling school and closing some roads due to an amount of snow small enough to hold in my arms.

This is from my front step:

Beside my house, a nice little drift beside my fiance's car:

They might cancel school busses tomorrow.

All other life continues like normal, just a bit colder.

It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

That looks cold as fuck. >.>

Also, it's not really the snow that causes problems here. Texas has these weird temperature changes that means when it's cold enough to snow, there's a pretty thick sheet of ice on the roads.

I wish I could find a good picture of the snow that was here when I flew back the beginning of this month. I'm not that short (about 5 foot 3) but the snowbanks after the plows were done with them were nearly as tall, if not taller than me. It was insane, I hadn't seen so much snow since I was a kid.

We're supposed to get 15-25cm tomorrow. I love watching the snow fall, just not when I have to be in it haha. That and it looks all magical at first, then it gets yellow a dirty and bleh.

I love snow, but it has been way to cold where I live. Today it was negative something, but with the wind chill it was -30....

For a solid 5 days I couldn't see out of my windows cause they were covered up by snow :( Walking down the path to my house was like walking in a trench the snow was so much higher than I am. I also enjoyed all the power outtages it brought :) But I was all gone with rain like a week afterwards :(

BUT I LOVE SNOW SO MUCH. We had like 10cms last night and its the light powery stuff thats easy to shovel and fun to play in!

I went to the alps today.. It's just great to wake up to an awesome view even if it is cloudy. But I don't understand why there wouldn't be a fireplace in a real chalet -.-

To each their own.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.
