You just use a file recovery program. When you delete things it doesn't necessarily wipe the sector space until more data gets written to it.

And remember your shredder to remove those files for good.

Since shredders cut things linearly, and displace them into the bin in the same way, it's pretty easy to put the parts back together if you don't disturb them opening it up.

And to answer your next question, no I am not a spy.
