Why hello there.
I'm ser Whosit of Whocares, first of his name, lord of Nothing Really, the rightful heir to Hopefully Something, Protector of his Virginity and Watcher on the Forum's Wall.
I'm from Poland, and our 'nerd' communities are pretty scarce, hence I searched for a place where I could discuss nerdistic topics without people throwing their kitchen's equipment my way. (You don't do that here .. Right? Making sure, my +10 agility socks are in the laundry)
As some of you might've realised by now, I'm a pretty big fan of A Song of Ice and Fire, but also the TV Show (Game of Thrones), as many other TV Shows, Anime, Fantasy and Wherever People Die A Lot-genre movies.
Oh, and my cat just died. I'm pretty torn up inside right now and thought posting/reading things here would bring me closer to some sort of equilibrium. So don't yell at me, I might cry. Wait, too late.
Nice to meet you all, hoping I'll blend in.
And now my watch begins ...

Sorry about your cat, animals are like family so it sucks when they die.
Hope you enjoy your stay, look forward to seeing you around the forums.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out-- Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me-- and there was no one left to speak for me.

Welcome, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles. It's no good.
I hope you feel at home here, I think we have pretty decent discussions and it's always a pleasure to have new people joining them.

I'm horribly sorry about your cat. I know how much that hurts.
Polish, eh! Neat! I'm sure I have a friend from Poland somewhere on my FB. I picked up a bunch of international friends on a Douglas Adams forum.
Thricely welcome, and welcome thrice!

Sorry about your cat, man. My guinea pig died about a year ago and it depressed me greatly. I guess all you can do is run forward regardless of the cars about to hit you. Something like that... Either way, hello, and welcome to the abyss of nerdnessish.

"Call the locksmith!"
Yes, all kinds of yes.
It is perfectly acceptable to fear and admire a being you could not possibly understand.

You had me smiling all the way through-- until of course kitty.
My deepest condolences, dear. I'm sure your friend lived a good life.
Welcome to NF; hope to see you around and get to know you better.

Thanks. I'm trying to remember every single memory of him acting like an asshole to soothen the sadness, but then I realise that was basically his whole life.
Well, life goes on, I just hope I did not kill him a few more times by burrying him before his remaining lives popped up with a delay.
