I think I need a suit of armor for it first though.
I want a cloak

I tend to do this with my hoodies while walking around town, draped over my shoulders like a Japanese yankee from a bad manga.
Why is it acceptable for me to wear a Velcro Superman cape on my shirt as a child, but you do that as an adult and suddenly you hear words like 'weird' and 'I don't want to date you anymore.'
My first novel, Seeds of Magic- Barnes & Noble, Smashwords, Kobo, Sony Store

Cloaks are amazinggg. Team that up with a suit of armor and that is badassery at it's finest.

Ahahaha. Reading things like this make me uber happy that I somehow just found this site. You guys are a riot.
You should always wear a cape. You'd prob make some little kid's day better, too.

Capes and cloaks make everything better.
I was walking around the house with a blanket tied around my shoulders as a cape. My five year old son asked me why I was wearing it. I said, "Because I'm a superhero." He grinned with an "I knew it!" expression on his face, and ran off. It was awesome.
Edit: Whoops, double post >_> Forum's wonky tonight.

There's a guy at my university who wears a cloak and a monocle. They call him monocle guy, he's like a legend at the university. It's strange.

SushiKitten, seriously? Maybe he's trying to be more like Sherlock Holmes with that. Does he ever have a pipe?
I just usually see crazy people on the subway here wearing things you really wish that you didn't see someone wear.
There needs to be more people in capes!

That seems much less efficient than wearing it. >.>

Cloaks look awesome with armor, ask the Romans.
(I do the same thing)

That's what I'm thinking. Shit, I'd buy groceries in a full suit of armor and a cloak if they wouldn't kick me out.

Awesome.
Sure, you make fun of my harry potter and tmnt shirts with the capes but cloaks are a-ok.
Pfft, whatevs.
Cloaks are useful, it's fucking cold out.

This kind of cloak/cape is the coolest. Mostly because its super flowy and then you can walk around with a sinister look and scare people.

When I was like 14-17, I had a cloak-ish coat with a hood. When I walked the half-mile to the bus stop for school, I used to pretend to be a Death Eater.
The image was only slightly marred by the travel mug of green tea I carried.

From what I remember Roman armor is more of cross braces and a skirt with a codpiece and shin guards and some kind of arm guards.
And a shield.
(And I must say Gerard Butler looked quite wonderful in it)
((Yes, I know King Leonidas was Greek, but basically the same venue))
Not exactly the same as an English knight.
Which is what makes me think of a full set of armor.
