I also love it, PS3 though.

Need to go back and finish it again.

Or dead inside so love for anything isn't an option.

Origins is a really good game.

Story, mechanics, difficulty, general gore.

The second game is an okay game if you pretend it doesn't have anything to do with Origins.

Stand alone it barely passes, but knowing it is supposed to be related to anything Dragon Age makes it look like a huge pile off steamy shit.

I disagree about the mechanics. It's far too easy to break the game with super-OP bullshit. With the right skill setup/loadout, a mage can out-damage a warrior with physical attacks, can stack the highest HP in the game, have the highest physical resistance as well as TOTAL MAGIC NULLIFICATION, and still be able to nuke bitches with fireballs.

Don't get me wrong it's a great game, it's just far too easy to break.

Which is exactly why I was a mage when I played through first time.

I agree that it isn't a perfect system, but if you are looking for a game that handles as a turn based action strategy, then it is perfect.

It reminded me a lot of KOTOR, which only helped the enjoyment.

I'm currently playing as much of a fucked-up game as possible. Female elf mage, planning to side with the templars, and if I can get my cunning/persuasion up enough, the werewolves over the elves. EVERYBODY HATES ME

Yeah that is a good way to make everyone dislike you.

Unfortunately I have an annoyingly rigid moral compass when it comes to video games.

I have to go the good route or I am constantly annoyed in the back of my head by how I feel like a douchebag for making evil choices.

The only two games I have ever been able to be evil in are KOTOR because the force powers are different and awesome, and the ending changes significantly, and the first Fable, because you get some spells and weapons that are awesome, and the plot is heavily altered.

Other than that, I can never seem to play as a character that does anything but the purest of actions.

It works out though because if you take a step back and look at the games that give you a choice of moral alignment and they always reward the player for being good.

You always get higher money, experience, and item rewards when you take the high road, and suffer when you take the low.

Not to mention the allies you gain by not murdering/screwing them over.

It is like the game makers are trying to slip a little lesson in to their games.

Being bad is bad and a waste of time, enjoy your fruitless adventure.

I struggle to play bad characters because it makes games harder than they need to be, usually. Mass Effect is a good example of that not being the case, as you can usually bully your way through. But Dragon Age features a lot more grey areas that don't really reward anything, so that should be fun.

I found being evil in Infamous and Infamous2 to be about the same as being good.  But I'm normally the same way.  I try to be nice because it's how I am.  However, there is always 1 or 2 characters I have no problems with killing or screwing over.  Usually its based only on how they look and talk to me, but I'm often prejudice, so that's no surprise.

I basically pissed everyone off in my run by doing the things that Sten liked doing.

I swear to christ NOBODY likes the shit he likes. It's just like when I was romancing that dark elf guy in DA2 (Felendil or something?) and everyone else (except Justice) fucking DESPISED me.
